Free or cheap programs your kids might love to do!
1. Pottery Barn Kids Book Club - you will have to check out your local Pottery Barn for times and if they offer it, but the really cool thing is that the kids each get a passport marking how many times they go and after 6 times they get a coupon for $10.00 off anything they would like to purchase.
2. Check our your local library!
Ours is always have great programs, whether it's their summer reading program or their Wednesday night PJ story time. They also have classes where your older kids can learn to knit and the younger ones can learn to sing. It's a great resource!
3. AWANA!
Awana is a Christian organization that focuses on the kids memorizing verses from the Bible. But the have games, songs, story time. They have programs from ages 2-18, you again need to check for the one in your area and for fees. This is a club that has vests and books so some churches charge more than others. Ours is $1 every Wednesday. Which I think is great!
4. Lowes Build and Grow Clinics
A great way to teach your children how to use tools and have fun. I believe Lowes offers their program 2 x a month, but check your local location, and you can do that right here!
Again alot of fun, your kids get a cool orange apron with their name on it. It is for the age group 5-12, but my son is 3 and they always welcome him. Actually we just walked by once and they were like "you want to build a fire truck?"
6. Check out you City Council web page.
Our always have things going on, like recycling events where the kids can do fun projects. Or street carnivals. I think that you would be surprised!
I will continue to add to this list! And put a revised date!
Thanks!
